OPEN POSITIONS

PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

Company / Location:  Hankscraft AJS, Random Lake, WI

Department: Manufacturing

Reports To: Director of Operations

 

Company Description:

Hankscraft AJS has been in business for over 35 years creating dynamic displays and POP (Point of Purchase) products for businesses, including tap handles and other promotional products for the brewing industry, and supplies components to the display industry. We design, manufacture, and take great pride in the quality of our products and the level of service we provide to our customers

 

Overview:

The Production Supervisor shall supervise and coordinate all production activities in accordance with the production schedule as set forth by customer demands. 

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Coordinate production flow within each department to support on-time shipment performance goals.

  • Enforce all safety related policies and procedures and assist Safety Committee and Human Resources with establishing or updating program.

  • Work closely with production team to maintain Quality Control to ensure all products are produced in accordance with       quality standards.

  • Work closely with Director of Operations to ensure adequate inventory to meet production demands.

  • Work closely with Human Resources to ensure adequate staffing.

  • Instruct and train all operators on proper operation of equipment.

  • Organize, monitor, and prioritize employee tasks to meet production goals.

  • Provide timely feedback on performance metrics and schedule annual performance reviews.

  • Enforce all policies on conduct as well as workmanship.

  • Maintain an orderly and clean working environment.

  • Manage all production schedules in accordance with customer forecasting/demands.

  • Review production costs and product quality and modify production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance profitable operations.

  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on progress, output, and shift summaries to senior management.

  • Focus on continuous Improvement. Identify process bottlenecks, implement efficiency methodologies and reduce      operational costs.

Job Skills and Qualifications Required:

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and inventory management systems.

  • Excellent organization, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong work ethic.

  • Ability to create and adhere to production processes.

  • Ability to write reports legibly and accurately.

  • Relevant training and certification in industrial production, engineering, or any related field.

  • Two to four years’ related experience in the manufacturing management field.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business reporting regarding production flow and individual                       employee performance.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from senior managers, clients, and customers when required.

Tap handle assembly

Company / Location:  Hankscraft AJS, Random Lake, WI

Department: Assembly

Reports To: Assembly Supervisor

 

Company Description:

Hankscraft AJS has been in business for over 35 years creating dynamic displays and POP (Point of Purchase) products for businesses, including tap handles and other promotional products for the brewing industry, and supplies components to the display industry. We design, manufacture, and take great pride in the quality of our products and the level of service we provide to our customers

 

Overview:

This person will be responsible for the final assembly, inspection, and packaging of tap handles and other related promotional products for the brewing industry – the last set of eyes before delivery to the customer.  Attention to detail is a must to consistently deliver quality to our customers.

Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Final assembly, inspection, and packaging of tap handles and other promotional products.

  • Adding ferrules, top caps, and decals to wood or urethane handle base according to customer specifications.

  • Final inspection and packaging.

  • Work with small, detailed parts and small hand tools such as screwdrivers, tape dispenser, small cut-away knives.

  • Accurate recording of completed pieces in labor recording computer program.

  • Train on all areas of tap handle assembly with minimal supervision.

  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.

  • A conscientious work attitude and pride in the work environment is strongly encouraged.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Skills and Qualifications Required:

  • Detail oriented individual.

  • High school diploma or equivalency.

  • Must pass a drug screen.

  • Must be able grasp, power grasp, and have fine manipulation motor skills.

  • Able to lift 40 lbs.

  • Must be able to reach at waist level and below, push/pull/twist, and bend and squat occasionally.

  • Must be able to stand/sit 8 hours intermittently.
